Better Call Saul, the series which is proving itself the better half of it’s origin series Breaking Bad had an explosive Season 5 finale. Show-runner and writer Vince Gilligan has been the mastermind of bringing characters like Hank, Kim and Walter to fruition.

Season 5 of Better Call Saul ended on a high note of anticipation and unpredictability. The series draws to a close with Season 6 and finally all the pieces of the puzzle come together to what we know as Breaking Bad.

Better Call Saul’s Season 5 ended with an ample amount of questions imprinted in the mind of the fans. In defence of Better Call Saul, the show has always been designed to leave it’s audience wondering what the characters are going to do next. It banks on this formula and the audiences thrives in it’s unpredictability.

In an interesting turn of events, Kim Wexler proposes to Jimmy different ways to get revenge on Howard (Patrick Fabian) in the finale episode “Something Unforgivable”. What Jimmy perceives as a joke on Kim’s part swiftly turns into a real revenge-plot against their former boss Howard Hamlin.

This turn of events proves the Kim we once knew does not exist anymore. In her place is a swift, badass manipulator of a woman bend to make things go her way. Moreover, fans couldn’t help but wonder if the change we see in Kim is what lead to Jimmy becoming the Saul we know from Breaking Bad.

If there is one thing predictable about the world of Vince Gilligan’s and Peter Gould’s characters in Better Call Saul Season 6, it’s the explosive state they will find themselves in.

Things are not looking good for Jimmy and Kim. The plan to assassinate Lalo (Tony Dalton) massively fails in the finale episode “Something unforgivable” which proves Gus Fring needs to find himself better assassins.

Lalo’s wrath will be at an all-time high. Not only is he aware of the man Fring being behind the failed attempt of killing him but Kim and Jimmy barely escaped Lalo in the episode before the finale. The final season can expect Lalo to go into full-killer mode as Kim the new badass in town decides to fight her way through the mess and break all the rules.

Better Call Saul: The Final Goodbye

The explosive finale season of Better Call Saul will feature not the regular 10 but 13 episodes. These 13 episodes will finally bridge the gap between the world of Saul and Walter and answer the well-hidden question: What Happens To Kim?

From the building evidence so far, one can assume that in her rage to avenge, Kim meets her untimely death. And the tragedy of losing his newly-wedded wife is too much for Jimmy to handle. And thus, Saul is born.

But just like every other thing- living or dead has been affected by the Corona Pandemic, so has Better Call Saul. The show meant to go into production early this year has been pushed back by several months. So, fans will have to wait to see the end of Kim Wexler and the starting of Saul Goodman.
